Geospatial Dashboard Solution for the Pipeline Industry

TULSA, Okla., Sep. 5, 2012 – Stonebridge, a leading information technology consulting firm to the oil & gas industry, today launched Pipeline360°, a geospatial dashboard solution that extends the power of geo-based data visualization to the entire pipeline organization.

Pipeline360°, which is based on Stonebridge’s 360° Solution Framework development methodology, is designed to provide a holistic picture of the pipeline business by combining data from internal and external sources and presenting it in a Web-based interactive map view. Users are able to add and filter layers of asset-relevant data—for example, a pipeline segment, known wells, gathering facilities, production volumes, drilling permits, drilling activity and competitor positions. A map-based interface provides a geographic context to the data, enabling users to analyze data in a pictorial way and to get a more complete view of the business.

Pipeline companies have long relied on geospatial analysis and GIS applications to manage their business. However, typically GIS is used by a limited number of specialized pipeline personnel, such as geologists and engineers. According to Matthew Childress, Stonebridge Senior Vice President, what makes Pipeline360° different is that it is designed to extend the benefits of geospatial business intelligence to the entire pipeline organization.
