TULSA, Okla., Feb. 21, 2019 – Stonebridge Consulting has been selected by a Texas-based oil and gas company to perform a digital readiness assessment of its business processes, operational systems, data management and cyber-security capabilities.
Stonebridge’s client is a fully integrated oil and gas company with primary operations in shale plays in Texas. The company has entrusted Stonebridge to lead enterprise efforts in achieving its goal of transforming its business by more fully leveraging data science and digital technologies such as edge computing, machine learning and robotic process automation.
An expected outcome of the assessment is a long-term digital-data strategy that ensures the company’s culture, people, processes, and technology are optimally aligned to adopt future digital innovations that will help it find and extract hydrocarbons faster, cheaper and safer.

Stonebridge’s digital readiness assessment will evaluate and map existing process and data flows across the client’s geology, land, GIS and engineering departments as well as back-office groups such as accounting, finance, procurement, human resources and IT. Stonebridge will perform a peer analysis to measure the client’s current process, systems and data management maturity against similarly sized operators. The assessment will also review cyber-security vulnerability of the client’s operations network.
At the end of the assessment Stonebridge will deliver a multi-phase strategic roadmap proposing high-priority recommendations. Anticipated priority areas include line-of-business application recommendations; logical data management architecture; future state process- and data-flow mapping and inter-dependencies; and a multi-year data management and governance improvement plan including estimated return on investment.
This engagement is the fifth digital-data readiness assessment Stonebridge has conducted in the past 12 months.
