HOUSTON, Oct. 9, 2012 – Stonebridge, a leading information technology consulting firm, today announced that Dan Wier has joined the company as a Business Development Manager in its Houston office.

Wier, who has more than 17 years of software sales and sales management experience, comes to Stonebridge from P2 Energy Solutions, the leading software company for the oil and gas industry. Prior, he was 10 years at IBM Corp. where he served in various sales and account management positions targeting multiple industries. He is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

Wier’s overall sales experience makes him an ideal addition for Stonebridge’s Texas sales team, said Matthew Childress, Senior Vice President in charge of the company’s Texas operations.

“Our goal is to continue to aggressively grow our business through the acquisition of net-new clients and by expanding our footprint with current customers,” Childress said. “Dan has a proven track record in both of those business development areas, and we expect his success to continue here at Stonebridge.”

Childress noted that Stonebridge’s revenue in the first half of 2012 was 40 percent higher as compared to the same period last year, with the Texas unit experiencing 25 percent growth. The majority of that growth was in the company’s continued expansion of its oil and gas customer base.

“We see Dan’s past success in oil and gas software sales as a tremendous asset,” Childress added. “He is well known within the industry, and his knowledge of the business needs of oil and gas companies will enable him to hit the ground running with selling Stonebridge’s consulting services and defined oil and gas solutions.”
