Project Summary

A Houston-based upstream oil and gas company had evaluated software options for its drilling and completions unit. After developing functional requirements internally and narrowing the section to two solution vendors, the company looked to Stonebridge to provide software evaluation and vendor negotiation services.

In the engagement, Stonebridge oversaw a detailed, end-to-end evaluation of the two down-selected vendor applications, which culminated in side-by-side pilot tests. Stonebridge developed an evaluation process; developed the vendor application score card; served as single point of contact for vendor questions; created issue log, daily summary and gap analysis templates; documented findings and daily pilot results; and ultimately recommended the “best fit” solution.

Additionally Stonebridge developed a detailed implementation plan, resource estimates, and input into the business cast supporting the recommended solution. The client noted Stonebridge’s knowledge of industry applications and vendor independence as primary considerations in its decision process.
