TULSA, Okla., Aug. 26, 2013 — Stonebridge, the award-winning business and technology services firm, today announced the company achieved quarter-over-quarter profitability growth of more than 40 percent during the second quarter of 2013.

“Stonebridge’s positive Q2 performance was primarily driven by increases in our Oklahoma, Business Services Management and Property & Casualty Services operations,” said James Ivy, Stonebridge Chief Executive Officer. “As a company, we were able to execute at a higher than expected level through revenue growth and resource utilization improvements, with positive trends expected to continue into Q3.”

Notable Stonebridge accomplishments for Q2 included:

  • Launched SharePoint SmartSource, a new Microsoft SharePoint managed services program that provides the first true “on demand/fractionalized resource” offering in the SharePoint support market. What distinguishes SharePoint SmartSource for other SharePoint managed services offerings is that it has no minimum support restrictions, allowing clients to pay only for the SharePoint support they need for the time they need it.
  • Achieved 200 percent quarter-to-quarter growth in clients, revenue and staff in its Remedyforce Professional Services consulting practice. Stonebridge’s Remedyforce practice, formed less than a year ago, has completed more than 25 Remedyforce Service Desk implementations and today employs more certified Remedyforce consultants than any other BMC partner in North America.
  • Gained four new clients in its SmartSource for Database Administration and Support service line. The service offers organizations a wide range of skilled DBA resource options for Oracle and SQL Server environments—from “on demand” resources on a short-term project basis to a retainer-based managed services program that delivers skilled DBA resources on a monthly basis. Also in Q2, Stonebridge renewed SmartSource DBA agreements with two longtime clients.

Stonebridge also made several key personnel announcements during the quarter, including:

  • Robert Lovelace joined the company as a practice manager within its Oil & Gas Solutions business unit. Lovelace leads Stonebridge’s Well & Pipeline Lifecycle practice, which provides offerings specifically designed for the upstream, midstream and field services market, including O&G startup, M&A integration, O&G growth strategy, business process mapping, well and pipeline data standards and integration, and technology evaluations.
  • Denise Mayfield joined Stonebridge as Texas Director of Delivery. In this role, Mayfield is responsible for overall project management, relationship management and client satisfaction for Stonebridge’s extensive consulting business throughout the state. Mayfield’s deep experience in the oil and gas industry is a key asset for Stonebridge’s Texas operations, which focuses exclusive on providing business advisory and technology services for the oil and gas industry.

Specifically in Q2, Stonebridge won competitive contracts with new clients and extended long-term engagements with existing accounts. Key contract wins and projects for the quarter included:

  • One of the nation’s largest auto insurance companies selected Stonebridge to provide strategic support and management for a large, multi-phase enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence infrastructure project. The client engaged Stonebridge to assist as a strategic development partner and provide expert consulting and technical expertise to facilitate the cleansing, loading and delivery of enterprise data for reporting and analysis. Additionally, Stonebridge will evaluate and upgrade the existing data warehouse infrastructure to ensure that it can properly accommodate the expected volumes and increased requirements for planned-for analytic capabilities. Stonebridge will also play a key role in assisting the client with defining and implementing a related strategy to provide self-service reporting for business users.
  • A Houston-based energy company engaged Stonebridge to provide ongoing support of its Oracle database environment via Stonebridge’s SmartSource Database Support and Administration, a managed services offering that includes onsite database management and monitoring, periodic database optimization and review, and database upgrades and patches. This new engagement follows Stonebridge’s successful completion of a comprehensive assessment of the client’s Oracle database environment. The business objective for the company, which sells natural gas and natural gas liquids to the wholesale market, was to ensure that its Oracle environment could provide the ongoing stability and support for the company’s expected future growth. The client cited Stonebridge’s DBA expertise, proven business value and exemplary customer-centric support as key business reasons for extending the relationship.
  • Stonebridge completed an IT transformation engagement for a leading personnel assessment company focused on aligning IT services with business objectives, isolating gaps in IT coverage, and identifying and documenting potential service improvements and the budgetary considerations. Subsequently, the client engaged Stonebridge to identify critical IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes in preparation for a pending implementation of the cloud-based Remedyforce service desk solution. The client selected Stonebridge because of its deep knowledge of IT Service Management and leadership status as the only certified Remedyforce implementation partner in North America.
  • One of the United States’ top 10 independent oil producers selected Stonebridge to provide SharePoint consulting and application development services for extending the client’s current SharePoint 2013 environment into an enterprise-class application platform. Specifically, Stonebridge will assist the client’s IT group in implementing self-service IT user request forms and processes in select business areas to showcase the platform’s collaborative capabilities. Additionally, Stonebridge will gather requirements and develop a road map for implementing all IT self-service requests via electronic forms and workflow processes. This work is part of a larger effort in which Stonebridge will assist the client in designing a SharePoint-based intranet site for the IT group and its PMO practice, to include providing SharePoint branding and user experience support so that the new SharePoint environment matches the look and feel of the client’s existing corporate internet site.
  • An independent exploration and production oil and gas company based in Houston engaged Stonebridge to provide a wide range of business intelligence (BI) support for its Microsoft-based decision support processes and systems. In particular, Stonebridge will redesign the system architecture in order to create a standard foundation for delivering reports, dashboards, interfaces and other data visualization tools. At the end of Q2, Stonebridge had completed the initial gap analysis and mapping of the client’s existing reporting processes and data sources and defined the future decision-support environment, which will more heavily leverage Microsoft’s BI technology stack.
  • Stonebridge completed a Remedyforce consulting engagement for a Washington, D.C.-based network communications company. The company engaged Stonebridge to customize and tune its Remedyforce environment in order to better align its cloud-based IT Service Management capabilities with its business operations. Stonebridge was chosen for this engagement because of its deep partnerships with BMC Software and salesforce.com, and because Stonebridge has more certified Remedyforce consultants than any other provider in North America.
  • Stonebridge successfully completed the implementation of the EMK3 Senergy oil and gas enterprise application for a Midland, Texas-based independent upstream oil and gas company. Stonebridge designed and developed a custom process to collect, convert and load data from eight source systems, including the master well database, production accounting and reporting, and measurements database, into the EMK3 application. Previously, the client had engaged Stonebridge in a Phase Zero consulting engagement to review and document current business processes and data integration involved with the usage and implementation of EMK3 in the organization.
  • A Houston-based property management company engaged Stonebridge to deliver the preliminary design recommendations for a custom business intelligence application for utility billing. Previously, Stonebridge had completed a Phase Zero assessment for the client to gather and evaluate requirements for enhanced development of a custom utility billing application, including documenting the company’s existing business processes and system architecture and providing defined actionable steps and dependencies for redeployment of its custom billing application. In the engagement’s subsequent discovery phase, Stonebridge will capture functional and non-functional requirements gathered from business users and create a high-level design for the proposed Microsoft-based solution, which will improve user productivity, increase data integrity and optimize utility billing cost recovery via enhanced reporting and KPI dashboards.
  • A Houston-based upstream oil and gas company engaged Stonebridge to design and deliver a SharePoint-based records management solution. The client’s objective is to improve its management of key business documents by providing systematic control over how records are created and received within the context of the client’s organizational processes and business lines. Stonebridge is providing business analysis and evaluations to document workflow and develop a records management solution integrating SharePoint features—including Term Store, Managed Metadata Service, Content Organizer and Records Center—with the Knowledge Lake scanning system.
  • Stonebridge completed the data structure of an advanced business intelligence solution for a leading non-profit business management, benchmarking, and research organization. Stonebridge delivered the technical architecture and implemented the foundational components of the client’s sales and marketing data warehouse and behavioral-scoring model. This project included the rollout of data dimensions within the data warehouse as well as the aggregation of data from other source systems and databases. The solution will aid the client’s sales and marketing team in deriving behavioral scoring values and also provide dashboard and reporting capabilities.
  • A newly launched California-based mortgage insurance company engaged Stonebridge to provide Remedyforce consulting services. Specifically, Stonebridge provided Remedyforce customization and tuning support that enabled the startup company to quickly implement ITIL-based processes and procedures aligned with business needs. Stonebridge was selected for this engagement based on its deep IT Service Management expertise, prior successful Remedyforce implementations and Stonebridge’s collaborative “client-centric” approach.
  • The Houston-based affiliate of a major international oil and gas company engaged Stonebridge to provide SharePoint consulting services. Stonebridge will provide guidance related to the client’s deployment, implementation and ongoing support of the SharePoint 2013 platform. To that end, Stonebridge will assess the client’s existing SharePoint environment and provide actionable recommendations and a defined plan to improve the platform’s enterprise capabilities and anticipated costs for a large-scale deployment. The client selected Stonebridge because of its deep SharePoint consulting and customization experience with oil and gas companies.
  • An independent energy company based in Tulsa, Okla., selected Stonebridge to conduct a Phase Zero assessment for the development of a business intelligence solution to improve business reporting and analytics. The assessment identified major reporting gaps in business critical areas, including well data, lease operating expense, capital expense management and production reporting. Based on these findings, Stonebridge developed and executed an implementation plan for developing a data warehouse and reporting infrastructure on Microsoft’s Azure cloud-based architecture. Subsequent development and rollout of the reporting solution is planned for the third quarter.
