TULSA, Okla., Dec. 13, 2016 – Stonebridge Consulting’s Kate Stevenson has been reelected to the 2017 board of directors of Women’s Energy Network of Greater Oklahoma (WEN OK). The announcement was made at the group’s Annual Business Meeting, which took place at Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City. Stevenson’s focus will be on business development to grow the organization through membership campaigns and new corporate sponsorships.

“It is an honor to be reelected to the WEN OK board,” Stevenson said. “I am a strong proponent of WEN’s mission of furthering the development of women in the energy industry, and I am 100 percent committed to bringing WEN’s resources to bear for the talented professional women who are such an integral part of the success of the oil and gas industry here in Oklahoma.”

Stevenson, who was first elected to the WEN OK board in 2016 as programming director, has more than 15 years’ experience within the upstream oil and gas industry, including land, well planning, drilling, completions, and accounting. Currently she is an Enterprise Director at Stonebridge Consulting and serves as a member of the company’s leadership team. Prior to joining Stonebridge in 2013, Stevenson held senior positions at Devon Energy, EAG Services, SandRidge Energy, Chesapeake Energy and Accenture. She is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

WEN OK was launched in October 2015. The organization grew to more than 800 members statewide within its first year. Currently, membership consists of individual, corporate and government memberships from across the state, and includes professionals in engineering, geoscience, accounting, legal, land, IT and other professions, said WEN OK president Tavia Jackson.

“Those numbers speak to the significant need and desire of Oklahoma women for more professional development and networking opportunities,” Jackson said. “Thousands of women are breaking ground in energy industry careers, and we’re excited to be a part of it.”

Incoming 2017 President April Jorgensen said WEN OK has elected a strong leadership team for 2017 and is eager about beginning the upcoming year. “Each woman on our board has an amazing professional background, and a passionate commitment to advancing the mission of WEN OK,” Jorgensen said.
