TULSA, Okla., Nov. 6, 2019 – Data management experts from Jonah Energy and Stonebridge Consulting will present findings of a successful machine learning-driven gas production prediction solution at next week’s Denver Petroleum Data Symposium.

Thomas Burgett, Manager, Data and Analytics at Jonah, and Stonebridge Principal Consultant Telha Ghanchi will present “Predicting Gas Production Using Machine Learning Methods: A Case Study,” at the Nov. 13th event, which is sponsored by the Professional Petroleum Data Management Association (PPDM).

The presentation will detail the findings of an extensive data modeling exercise conducted by a joint Jonah-Stonebridge team. The team used data from an active Jonah gas field to compare multiple machine-learning algorithms and determine the most suitable future drilling scenarios.

Jonah has integrated the team’s findings into multiple processes, from completion reviews to assessing future well locations.
