TULSA, Okla., August 17, 2011 – Stonebridge, a leading information technology consulting firm, today announced that its business performance maintained a solid upward trajectory during the first half of the year, showing significant continued momentum in its Texas operations.

Stonebridge’s total revenue for the first half of 2011 increased by 32 percent compared to the same period last year, the result of new customer acquisition and contract extensions with existing clientele. During the same period, the company also increased its overall average headcount by 30 percent. And in the second quarter alone, revenues generated by the company’s Texas operations increased by 14 percent over the previous quarter, continuing the unit’s streak of signing business with net-new customers, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry.

“Our continued strong performance as a company is the result of a concerted effort involving every aspect of our business,” said Stonebridge Senior Vice President Matthew Childress, who oversees the company’s Texas operations. “Last year the leadership team made significant modifications to the company’s go-to-market strategy and operating model in order to ensure that our business engine was hitting on all cylinders – from solution development and delivery, to sales and marketing. Our first half results confirm that our new strategy is paying consistent dividends.”

Also in Q2, Stonebridge was honored as the winner of Microsoft’s “Compete to Win” award, part of Microsoft’s Central Region Partner Awards Program. The honor marked the second consecutive year Stonebridge has won a Microsoft Partner Award. The award-winning solution was a Web-based corporate data management dashboard for a Fortune 500 energy company.

Stonebridge won significant new business contracts and project extensions in all of its practice areas during the second quarter. Key Q2 contract wins include:

  • A natural gas producer engaged Stonebridge to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the reporting and analytical systems supporting the company’s oilfield services subsidiary. Stonebridge will conduct a six-week Phase Zero™ assessment to identify the data sources, requirements and integration needs of the client, which is one of the nation’s largest producers of natural gas, oil and natural gas liquids. The assessment findings will be leveraged to create a high-level conceptual information architecture and a go-forward strategic roadmap for constructing and implementing the architecture. The client selected Stonebridge because of its deep knowledge of the Oil & Gas space and proven track record in performing similar business intelligence (BI) assessments.
  • An independent oil and natural gas company selected Stonebridge to design and implement a SharePoint-based enterprise content management (ECM) solution for the company’s multi-department operations group. The ECM solution consists of multiple SharePoint sites that serve as a central repository for frequently accessed documents, such as reference files and documents included on multiple distribution lists, as well as project status and key performance indicator (KPI) analytical reports composed of maps and charts. For this engagement, Stonebridge analyzed the business and content requirements for the various operations departments and created a multi-phase implementation plan for SharePoint site creation, content updates and process automation. The client currently has engaged Stonebridge to develop enhancements that provide additional insight in operational performance, including integrating charting controls with both GIS and SharePoint.
  • A large wholesale landscape nursery selected Stonebridge to provide managed database administration (DBA) services to support enterprise business applications. Stonebridge will support the client’s Oracle and SQL Server database platform via Stonebridge’s SmartSource DBA managed services program. This new services agreement follows a previous Stonebridge engagement to upgrade the client’s unsupported database environment to a supported platform and to establish a remote disaster recovery facility. The client cited Stonebridge’s experience in large-scale database upgrade projects and knowledge of disaster recovery best practices as essential to the project’s success.
  • Stonebridge, in partnership with BMC Software, recently completed an IT service management (ITSM) engagement with a national financial services company that provides auto insurance to millions of policyholders. The client’s goal was to convert all service requests to the BMC ITSM Remedy Service Request Management (SRM) module. To meet this end, Stonebridge created 281 new service requests by mapping specific applications requests to defined needs across the corresponding departments. Stonebridge deployed all 281 service requests within a 45-day window, including automated workflow for acceptance, approvals, assignment, tracking and feedback. The Stonebridge/BMC solution enabled the client to benefit from higher employee productivity and satisfaction, reduced workload on the IT staff, higher quality request fulfillment and lower business costs.
  • Stonebridge completed an application development project to upgrade the data extraction component of a health benefits administration company’s customer service portal. Stonebridge developed a new process for extracting and repackaging medical claims data from the company’s claims processing application and then making that data available securely to plan members. The new solution, built on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), replaced an Access-based data extraction process. The company chose Stonebridge over a lower-priced vendor based on Stonebridge’s proven experience with similar data integration projects.
  • A leading prime contractor in the commercial construction sector selected Stonebridge to develop a workflow automation and content management solution. The application, built on SharePoint 2010 and K2 blackpoint software, will integrate workflows of core business functions across the organization. The client chose Stonebridge for its proven experience in designing and implementing custom workflow applications using SharePoint and K2 development tools.
  • A global provider of electric pumps for the oil and gas industry selected Stonebridge to develop analytical tools and reporting mechanisms for its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The contract extension marks the continuation of a long-term strategic data warehousing initiative begun in early 2010. In this phase of development, Stonebridge will design and implement a data warehouse to provide end users with consolidated visibility into the ERP system. The Microsoft-powered solution, built using SharePoint, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Excel, will enable users to drill through to transaction-level details and reduce time extracting data from multiple systems.
  • Stonebridge, in partnership with BMC Software, was engaged by a national home improvement company to develop and deploy a suite of IT service monitoring technologies. Stonebridge will provide subject-matter expertise to establish a service quality methodology based on client-defined requirements for IT service monitoring. Stonebridge will collaborate with the client to construct the conceptual model for mapping individual program initiative-derived capabilities with business functions. Once the model is constructed, Stonebridge will oversee a team of business analysts to develop quality-of-service requirements for the monitoring capabilities. Additionally, Stonebridge consultants will function as expert resources to help build standard operating procedures and event correlation models based on the quality-of-service requirements.
  • A leading regional electric power company selected Stonebridge to develop a spatial dashboard proof-of-concept application to enable more streamlined monitoring of high-outage incidents typically associated with severe weather. The POC will be used by the client to demonstrate the data integration and special visualization capabilities of IDV Solutions’ Visual Fusion Server 5.0 with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. The engagement will provide the client with a functioning representation of the potential benefits of a production-ready spatial dashboard in support of its outage management and incident control systems.
  • An independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company engaged Stonebridge to conduct a data integration assessment in order to discover opportunities to gain efficiencies in information availability, quality and accessibility. The initial focus of the project will be on the client’s usage of EMK3 software and the potential business-process benefits of sharing EMK3 data with other core systems, such as P2 Energy Solutions’ Excalibur. The client selected Stonebridge for the project based on its expertise around data integration and knowledge of the oil and gas business.
  • Stonebridge, in partnership with BMC, completed a change management engagement with a $7.5 billion mutual fund organization. Stonebridge performed a complete assessment for establishing an enterprise change management process and conducted internal workshops to unify and standardize the change management process to adhere with ITIL best practices and with the new BMC Remedy Change Management process. Additionally, Stonebridge created a detailed requirement and design document to fulfill all the identified requirements in order to accelerate the deployment of the BMC Remedy solution suite for the development team.
  • Stonebridge recently completed a data integration and data management project with an independent exploration and production company for the launch of a well portfolio management solution. The Stonebridge solution, built on the SharePoint platform, will facilitate communication and data management between and within multiple user groups across the organization. The solution will enable the client to migrate from an existing process comprised of a series of spreadsheets used to manage the process of defining, updating and storing the most important information about the well portfolio. The client’s longer-term plan is for the new well portfolio management solution to serve as a centralized delivery point for information and data to business users within all departments. To that end, Stonebridge currently is extending the solution’s business logic and functionality.
  • Stonebridge, in partnership with BMC and QUITZE S.A. de C.V., was selected to execute the implementation of BMC IT Business Management 7.6.04 suite for a prominent Mexican petroleum company. Benefits will include a centralized view of IT suppliers, contracts and financials throughout the entire supplier lifecycle; greater cost transparency of defined services; a completed “bill of IT” in the business’ language; and comprehensive financial reporting with drill-down analytical capabilities.
