First Oklahoma-based Company to Complete New Certification Process

TULSA, Okla., February 10, 2011 – Stonebridge, a leading information technology consulting firm, today announced that it has achieved Microsoft Gold Competency certification in three areas: Business Intelligence, Content Management, and Portals and Collaboration. Gold Competency is the highest skill level obtainable through Microsoft.

Stonebridge is the first – and currently the only – Oklahoma-based Microsoft partner to complete Microsoft’s stringent new competency certification process.

“We are very proud of this accomplishment as it reflects a total commitment by our company,” Stonebridge CEO James Ivy said. “The recent changes in Microsoft’s competency certification process raised the bar for every Microsoft partner, and nearly every one of our associates played a part to ensure that we achieved our Microsoft competency objectives.”

Stonebridge, with headquarters in Tulsa and offices in Houston and Dallas, is a Microsoft Managed Partner in Microsoft’s South Central District. In addition to its three Microsoft Gold Competencies, the company also earned Microsoft Silver Competency certification in four technical areas: Search, Data Platform, Software Development and Web Development.

Microsoft recently implemented major changes to the Microsoft Partner Network and the partner competency certification process, significantly increasing the depth and breadth of requirements needed to achieve an advanced Gold Competency. The new criteria to achieve these competency levels include requirements around the advanced technical certifications of the consulting staff, sales and marketing assessments for all business development and client-facing personnel, revenue commitments, implementation methodology certification and client references.

Stonebridge completed more than 50 Microsoft client project references in 2010 and has approximately 30 Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) on staff with advanced certifications, including a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) with expertise in SharePoint Server.
